Generosity of Spirit
The Pacific Tsunami Museum first opened its doors on June 17,1998.  Have you visited since then? You will be surprised by the radical changes made to the former First Hawaiian Bank on Kamehameha Avenue.
You will notice that within the museum several places have been prepared for future exhibits.  A bank of computers linking all websites dealing with tsunamis and touch monitors in the various exhibit areas will provide audio and visual presentations by survivors.
When we first presented the Laupahoehoe exhibit last April, we received favorable comments from visitors that the most popular feature of the exhibit was the survivor stories shown on the touch screen monitors.  Because of the generosity of spirit of the tsunami survivors, we have invaluable history lessons.  We would like to acknowledge the many interviewees on Hawaii, Kauai, Maui, Molokai and Oahu.
