The theme this year was "Truly Amazing Tsunami Stories". Family storytellers Patrick Petti and Kenneth Lee told the Hilo Pier Story of Antone Correa Aguiar and Tuck Wah Lee. Antone's heroism saved Hilo from yet another tragedy. Tuck Wah made an unbelievable escape. Paul Tallett told the Keaukaha story of lives crossed as neighbors were rescued in 1946. Alvin Sasaki told the story of a family separated in the tsunami of 1960.
